Reviews of - Kips Cottage, Mevagissey

"Bijoux
The cottage was centrally located and situated on a busy, narrow main street - visitors should be aware that traffic, and people, are in very close proximity to the front of the cottage. The cottage is very old and fairly small - the ground floor, which opens directly onto the street (so watch animals and children carefully as you open the door), is perfectly well equipped but cramped, dark and gloomy. The kitchen is open plan and tiddly but adequately equipped. The bathroom on the first floor is OK but the separate toilet is so small that the door has to curve outwards so that you can fit in. My partner and I are of average size and just about managed to squeeze in - anyone who is larger-framed/taller would really struggle. Agents needs to make this clear in the publicity. The top floor bedroom is also open to the rest of the cottage - so make sure that you visit with people with whom privacy is not an issue. Overall - cheap and well located but pretty miserable and not worth a return trip."
